Vinea Estate
Five generations of the Ferrante family, forty-two hectares of Nebbiolo on the Monte Calvo hill, and a cellar door that opens onto the vines.

Patience is the first ingredient.
Nebbiolo ripens last, ages slowest and forgives nothing. Since Giuseppe Ferrante planted the first rows in 1887 we have let the hill, the fog and the years do most of the work.
Today Chiara and Matteo Ferrante farm organically, ferment with native yeasts and age every Riserva in the tufa cellar beneath the house. Nothing leaves the estate until it is ready — even if that means waiting a decade.
